Description
Three wall clocks announce three centers of power: Washington DC, Moscow, Beijing. At first glance, the installation appears to follow the familiar logic of world time, simultaneity distributed across space.
Closer inspection reveals a deviation. Time does not shift through different hours, but through the displacement of its own structure. In Moscow and Beijing, the clock face detaches from its housing and begins to descend toward the floor. The mechanism continues to operate, but its frame no longer holds.
What changes is not the time shown, but the condition under which time can be read.
Orientation fails. Measurement persists without stability.
Time, here, does not advance or lag.
It slips quietly out of alignment.
