Description
The arrangement appears instructional. Light, surface, and ground follow a sequence that suggests causality.
At first, the relation holds.
Then it shifts, remaining plausible.
Finally, it persists without explanation.
A fracture in expectation: the elements remain intact, yet their agreement dissolves.
Between observation and belief, the work stages a quiet uncertainty: whether meaning arises from physical law, or from the habits by which we accept it.
What fails is not perception, but the confidence that the world must always account for itself.
