Description
The portrait does not ask to be read as likeness. It offers itself as a site of return.
What appears unified is assembled from agents of decay. Identity is held together by processes that usually remain unseen, slow, patient, indifferent.
Here, the past is not preserved; it is continuously worked on. The figure does not remember childhood as origin or innocence, but as a field in which formation and erosion occur at the same time.
What emerges is neither accusation nor confession. It is a quiet acknowledgment that the self is not built despite disintegration, but through it.
