Description
The formation promises protection. It is a structure of defense, designed to endure rather than to advance.
In Iran, 2022, moments of collective exposure briefly unsettled this geometry. What followed was not collapse, but consolidation.
The shields turn inward, not because there is nothing left to confront, but because confrontation has already taken place. Defense here signals the recognition of vulnerability. It is the tacit admission that order is no longer unquestioned.
Placed on a ground marked by cultural memory, the formation does not erase what lies beneath it. It stands above it, contained and tense.
Between repression and persistence, the work holds open a narrow interval. It suggests the possibility that even rigid structures of power, once forced into defense, bear witness to the pressure of democratic hope.
