Description
The statement was meant to shield.
It absorbs responsibility so that looking can proceed without hesitation.
Placed in the public eye, the text reverses its role.
What once protected the viewer now exposes the act of viewing itself.
Shame is displaced from bodies onto language.
The private contract becomes a public inscription.
Between exhibition and concealment, the work unsettles the boundary of the public sphere: not by revealing intimacy, but by making its conditions unavoidable.
What stands on the façade is not confession, but the trace of an agreement that was never meant to be seen.
